Family Connection is unique to the state of Georgia.  The Network operates in all of Georgia’s 159 counties and is charged with improving conditions for children and families.  In Dougherty County our strategy for improving conditions is Family Literacy. Each county collaborative determines their county’s focus for their work.

In Dougherty County, we convene our community partners quarterly for networking, communicating information, and giving opportunities for sharing resources.  Working together to support families and connecting families to the organizations with the resources the family needs can mean a family can continue their road to success.  Cooperation and sharing of resources are very important for our community collaborative. Our positive impact for families and children is stronger as we work together as a team for the "good of all".
